Unconventional Gas in SA – A Road to Nowhere?

The South Australian Government’s “Roadmap for Unconventional Gas Projects in SA” opens up huge areas of the state for the exploration and extraction of shale gas, coal seam gas and tight gas through the process of Hydraulic Fracturing or ‘fracking’.

There is substantial evidence that the industry causes groundwater contamination & depletion, increased greenhouse gas emissions, loss of agricultural land and has negative health impacts. Come along to this free public forum to learn more. There will be local and interstate speakers including:

  • Sarah Moles & Andrew Cooper (Lock the Gate)
  • Mark Ogge (The Australia Institute)
  • Mark Parnell MLC  (The Greens)
  • Edward Cranswick (Seismologist)
